This is a child book that makes adults think. It spurs discussions about the ocean’s place in our lives, regardless of whether we live by the ocean or far away. What most people know about the ocean’s ecosystem and economic services, and the importance of ocean data and information to maintain and advance those services, varies greatly. This book is written for children and their parents as a basis for dialogue between them, ultimately for better decisions related to our health and sustainability. It was launched at the global Our Ocean Conference in 2017 and has featured in many international contexts ever since. Several translations from English exist, offered by ocean scientists so that they can spread it in their communities. Currently versions in EN, ES, IT, PT
