Join us for another Virtual Explorer Day where we will learn about the Marine Mammals of the Salish Sea with Nature Mentor Joan Lopez.
When most of us think of mammals, what usually comes to mind are land mammals – like our pets, or maybe the squirrels and raccoons that we see around our neighbourhoods and parks. But there are other types of mammals that live close to us that are specially adapted to spend most, if not all, of their life in the ocean. Join in to learn about some of these amazing creatures that are found in the Salish Sea.
Joan is a Marine Biologist and Marine Educator who has been working as a guide with a local whale watching company since 2003. She is also the Chair of the Marine Biology Committee of Nature Vancouver. No registration required! Click on the Zoom link below to join. Hope to "see" you there!
